As you may already be aware, Sturry and Broad Oak are no longer in the Canterbury Parliamentary Constituency. We are now part of Herne Bay and Sandwich.

We encourage everyone to vote on July 4th, and as a residents’ association endeavour to remain non-political.

We want the best for our area and have organised a public meeting – a hustings – to further this.

We have invited all the candidates to come to speak to us, and answer your questions. So far all have agreed with the exception of the Liberal Democrat candidate who has yet to reply to our invitation.

We expect this to be a well attended event, and we ask all local residents who wish to come to email us, so that they can be admitted. Places are on a first come, first served basis, and we are giving fully paid up registered members first choice until midnight Wednesday 12th.

Due to time restrictions there will be no questions from the floor, but rather that the panel answer a range of questions reflecting their aims for our area.
