Here’s a date for your diary. Saturday 13th November at 2.30pm. Make your way to Sturry Church for the official launch of not one, but two books about our local area.

“Meanderings in Sturry Broad Oak, Fordwich and Westbere” has been compiled and edited by Heather Stennett and K. H. McIntosh and is a treasure trove of stories about our area, Could you find you way to the Pig and Whistle in Sturry? Or remember a time when Fordwich only had four cars? From the Normans to the Huguenots, poets to parsons, the book is packed with fascinating stories.

Also featured at the event will be “Fordwich and the 1929 Hospital Fayre”.

It is hoped that a new edition of:
BROAD OAK – A KENTISH VILLAGE RECONSIDERED
will be available for purchase on the day.

The books will be available to purchase at £14.95 each (cash or cheque only) and you can reserve a copy by emailing us via the contact us link at the top of the page.
